Hello,
I am proposing to simulate a 2D heterogenous column, height: 0.75 m and width: 0.01m
1. My CI: 147.25 m
2. (a)I put a powerfunction of hydraulic head varying from 149.6 to 149.3 m at the top of the column
(b)--when I put psi=0 at the bottom in order to represent the water table , the simulation doesn't run, it is blocked at the third step of time!!!

--If I remove this condition, I don't have negative pressure and Feflow don't take into account my unsaturated column :'(
Can you please say what's the problem and what I should do to run this simulation with real conditions .

Rq: I have seen the cases of gardner and van genuchten in the help!!!

when opening the help of FEFLOW 5.3 , an open error comes:
c:\program files\WASY\FEFLOW 5.3\simulator\pic\halt_view\halt_view_plot2.gif: no such file or directory

I note that I have never get this problem !!!

Today when exiting the postprocessor , Feflow shows me an Alert:
MOVING FREE SURFACE PROBLEM WARNING: On exiting the postprocessor, data will be assigned to the mesh as it corresponds to the current time step. This mesh may be deformed!Use the rehash command to restore the original Mesh for the stratigraphic data.
Can you please say why I have this alert !!!I don't understand why because I didn't change any parameter!!

I have to run a 3D regional, unsaturated flow model,
The model seems to run in the begining but after one day , it take very small time steps and require an enorm disk space!!!
I note that I have assigned powerfunctions of rivers in my model from 1 day to  397 days.
When I have run, feflow calculates 50 days in 15 hours (enorm time of simulation) knowing that the final time is 397 days!!!!
Can you please tell me how to do to run it correctly,
I have take default settings as said in the help to guarantee a stable simulation run.

can you please say what do you intend by "apply a constant water flux" , is it an inundation??
In fact I want to simulate a floodplain and i am wondering with which condition can I transform this event on Feflow?

Also what is the difference between this recharge and the recharge in flow materiels presentend by in and out flow??

I export the saturation in View and halt results into . pnt file for each slice in order to get this profile.
But, I want to compare the output ( capillary pressure vs saturation) of the model to the analytical curve of Van Genuchten,

I Imported in Feflow a shapefile to have correct coordinates X et Y , because when read in arcview the fields X and Y are false,
how can I export these coordinates to introduce them in Arcview, (I precise that I have done Add map)
