• Unsaturated problem

    Hello,
when moving from a saturated problem to an unsaturated one, the first step is to add the slices and put unsatureted in the problem class,
How can Feflow do for the initial and boundary conditions?
I have erased the boundary conditions, but when I verify with mesh Inspector, the saturation in the first slice is 1 with positive pression ???
Can some one help me to understand this?
    Thank you very much:)
    Sana.
  • Re: samg_test_3d_high_transient.fem!!!!

    Dear Wolfram,
As you said, I should derefine some nodes in order to obtain the original situation.
Finally the refinement was logic but unfortunately not quite similar to "samg_test_3d_high_transient.fem".
    thank you for the explanations:)
    Sana.
  • Re: samg_test_3d_high_transient.fem!!!!

    Dear Wolfram,
I tried with reals as you said, but did you expect that 1 reals is equal to 1 meter???
I have read that The snapper controles the range of the mesh refinment, so why while doing: refine (reals =30 reals ) then derefine (reals=30 reals) , I don't get the initial situation???
    Thanks a lot
    Sana.
  • Re: samg_test_3d_high_transient.fem!!!!

    Dear Wolfram,
    Thank you,
I realize that is difficult to reproduce the same refinment in my case since I have done my mesh,
But I tried to do with :
    -river.shp
    -boundarie-river.shp
I think that I can approuve this task with the "snap " but I don't understand how it function:((
    Thank you for any explanation
    Sana.
  • samg_test_3d_high_transient.fem!!!!

    hello,
    In C:\Program Files\WASY\FEFLOW 5.3\demo\samg_benchmarks\femdata, there is "samg_test_3d_high_transient.fem"
my question is how to do a refinment in the left and right of a river like done in the example.
I tried with *.lin but il doesn't success.
    Thank you.

  • Re: Slice partitioner

    hello,
Thank you Dr Peter for the explanations.
In fact I have I problem in my model, I may enter the z elevations from database for 5 slices , but when I verify I find other values and in 3D layer configurator the z min go until - 400 m . I tried to vary elevation and decrement , but always the same problem!!!!can you please help me!!!!
    Thank you.
    Sana.
  • Slice partitioner

    Hello ,
As showed in the picture attached, can you explain how Feflow will take into account the slice partition, which principles  for that? How can I put different distances between the slices? Will Feflow calculate it as the approach in black color  or that in red color???
    Thank you for help.
    Any documentation?
    Sana.
  • please help: changement of a value imposed

    Hi,
I downloaded data regionalization for z elevations so I have values on nodes, but when I returned to check these values , I remark that the values has changed to negative elevations. (I imposed 143 m , the inspector shows -337 m in a node)
Can someone help me to understand why?? ???
Has it a relation with reference data (elevation and decrement), if yes what can I put instead to keep the imposed value?
    Thank you a lot.
    Sana.
  • Re: simulation time

    hello,
    Thank you :)
  • simulation time

    Hi,
I am wondering approximately about the simulation time of an unsaturated, 3D regional problem of about 260 km2.
    Thanks.
