I'm sure you've already considered this but I'll just list a few things that I found a bit confusing when I used the budget export command. Check that:
The data has been exported it for all time steps that is required
That you have selected the whole domain or atleast the specific areas that you require
The total balancing option is selected so that you can check your model is running as expected
Type of results is selected to bondary types if you want to see that the fluxes across the boundaries are running as expected
Normally I find with FeFlow I think the program is not work but then I realise it's just that I'm missing something small and FeFlow is working perfectly fine!

I'm currently modelling a simple unconfined aquifer system with a river flowing through the center of a square domain of 2000x2000m. I'm attempting to model the surface-river interactions by visualising the drawdown cone and flux data from the river boundary conditions (Cauchy) by varing an abstraction bore from the river.
My question is that I seem to be getting a strange result from FeFLow. I've run a series of models and plotted the flux sourced from the river against time. [CAUCHY_BC(FLUX_IN(+)]/[WELL_BC(FLUX_OUT(-))]*100 from the results file. The problem arises when vary the pumping rate at the same distance I get the same normalised distribution regradless of the pumping rate, which I find a bit odd.
For example:
Say the pumping bore is 100m from the river.
I've got 3 different sets of data for different pumping rates (10 l/s, 5 l/s , 2ls/)
On a plot of water sourced from river against time the pumping rates are identical
Could anyone point out any possible errors conceptially that I'm doing?
Big thanks in advance!

Sorry for replying so late! Just came back from holidays. Glad you found it out on your own, I'm currently using verson 6 so I don't think I would be much help!

When I try to load large DAC (result) files of around 4 gig an error occurs "Control data of fem input are not available". Is there any current solution to opening this file?
Thanks in advance

Thank you will have a crack at it

Is there any way to export the Budget Domain data as a time series in FeFlow 6, notably the Fluid vol. tab? Apart from right clicking on this diagram and copying each value for every time step I can't seem to find an efficent way to export all this data into one file.
Thanks in advance

Is there any way to create slices at specific depths for FeFlow 6? The current way that I have figured out is easier explained in an example.
Say you have an aquifer of 19m, and there are 3 layers. There is an abstraction bore with a screen length of 9.1m. In order place the boundary conditions on the well screen of 9.1m, a layer must be inserted into the 2nd and 3rd layer (z =6.333m and z = 12.666m). This can be done by initially creating 3 layers of depth 6.333m each in the 3D layer configuration. Then fix all the layers. Then in the distance box put it 2.767m (6.333 + 2.767). Then add another slice and your layer will be added.
Is there any other easier way to add the layer? Or better is there another way to apply the well boundary condition in between layers?
Thanks in advance

Thank you helped a lot!

I'm currently trying to figure out how in FeFlow to export time series data. I've run a simulation for 2 years worth of data. After the simulation is done, the diagram of the time history of head at a certain point appears, with the observational notes and points a b c. Is there anyways to export this diagram into a data format?
Thanks in advance
