Hi all,
I am modelling a BHE-array with many BHEs.
I would like to know if there is a way to invert the flow in the BHEs between summer and winter.
Example: during winter the flow in a BHE serie is IN -> BHE1 -> BHE2 -> BHE3 -> BHE4 -> OUT
In summer however, I would like the flow in the serie to go IN -> BHE4 -> BHE3 -> BHE2 -> BHE1 -> OUT
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks in advance for help!!

Ciao Gloria.
I also had a thought on helix loop vertical pipes. I thought of how they could be modeled with feflow but I couldn't come up with any solution. I think it may be possible to fully discretize the pipes but it would takea huge amount of time to design the geometry. Let me know if you succeeded in finding a solution, I am very interested.
Good luck,

Of course the BHE as nodal selection with BCs Budget-History Charting Mode...

Hi all,
I would like to understand why, if I assign a "Power Difference" to a BHE through the Borehole Heat Exchanger Editor, that value is never reached in the Heat Rate Budget chart (it is always higher or lower depending on heat extraction or injection).
Can anyone please illuminate me?
Thank you in advance,

Hi all!
Would anyone kindly be able to help me set up the coupling FEFLOW 6.2-TRYNSIS ?
I am facing difficulties already in the plug-in activation step...
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Kind regards

Hi Bjorn! Thank you for your reply and for your suggestion! You are indeed correct, I would like to investigate local effects.
How does it work however with the Heat transport BC? How do I use the heat nodal sink/source BC instead of the borehole heat exchanger BC?
Again, thank you for your help!!!

Hi! Does this plug-in work for FeFlow 6.2? If so, what do I need to do after I attach it and activate it? Nothing seems to happen after I do that and I'm therefore wondering how it works...
Thank you for any help!

Hi all,
I've got a question this time concerning the assignment of Material Properties using the Expression Editor.
I have a property (thermal conductivity of the solid phase) which changes depending on the temperature of the solid. Given that the temperature of the solid changes during the simulation, I also want its thermal conductivity to change, following the temperature variation. Therefore I assign an equation (with the Expression Editor) to the thermal conductivity where the unknown is Temperature. However there is no change during the simulation and the value of thermal conductivity stays equal to its initial condition.
Does this mean that it is impossible to assign varying Material Properties using equations linking them to Process Variables?
Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi! I think you should provide a few more details about your model...

Hi all,
I would like to model a BHE in a 2D vertical axysimmetric projection (therefore with gravity on the negative y-axis), where I place the BHE on the left edge of the model to see how temperature varies along the depth. Is this possible to do?
I have noticed it is not possible to place borehole heat exchanger BC in 2D models and therefore I have to use the heat nodal sink/source BC. Do I place the nodal BC on all the nodes where the BHE should be? How does this work?
Thanks for help!!
