I am planning to work on a complex numerical transport model and want to use the capabilities of the phreeqc code.
[li]Is it possible to couple phreeqc with feflow via the Interface Manager of Feflow?[/li]
[li]Has anyone already experience with that coupling?[/li]
[li]Is there an existing solution for that?[/li]
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Thomas

As far as I know there's currently no coupling between FEFLOW and PHREEQC. If anybody else knows about such an approach - PLEASE LET US KNOW!

From the FEFLOW side, a coupling via IFM should be possible. Several people have had that idea before - but I think nobody has done it yet. If you need more detailed technical specifications about IFM and the possible links to PHREEQC, please drop me an email to support@wasy.de!

I would be very interested in learning how to link FEFLOW and PHREEQC, also!!!
The USGS has a finite difference flow and transport code coupled to PHREEQC called PHAST (http://wwwbrr.cr.usgs.gov/projects/GWC_coupled/phast/index.html), but I would rather use FEFLOW.

Please let me know if you figure it out!

We are working on such a link and a corresponding plug-in will be available soon.

Pieter, soon = ?
It would be very useful!
I tried the IFM lake but I am not sure that it works. Is there a problem with FeFlow 6.2?

We've done this but via an IFM talking to the Goldsim modelling software, which has been coupled to PHREEQC previously..

Not able to share the FEFLOW-Goldsim linkage unfortunately but it wasn't as difficult as I expected..

Soon = in the next couple of months. Can't be more specific now as some things have to be sorted out still.

Is there any advances coupling between FEFLOW and PHREEQC? I am really interested.

Thanks

Hi Peter,

Any news about the time frame for the release of the phreeqc link?

Thanks!

I'm very interested in the phreeqC plugin. Is there any progress?
I know there is a beta-Version of a plugin, is it possible to try it?

Hi there, until now is there any new progress with this topic? I would be really interested in this coulpling

Dear Rapheul,

Indeed, there has been a big progress in this topic. We have released last year the official plug-in to couple FEFLOW and PHREEQC. You can find the information under the Groundwater and Porous Media tool section in our website: http://www.mikepoweredbydhi.com/download/mike-by-dhi-tools

Best regards,
Carlos
