thanks Dr. Björn, I am suffering from this bug you mentioned but this is the newest version already. The weird thing is, of the two different time spot saved fems, the earlier saved fem has such checkbox to save supermesh, while the latter has not, in the problem settings . Maybe something has been wrongly done in the latter one. Regards

Hi there,
Version 7.0, after a series of definitions and saves, I lost my supermesh view in the program, and what is worse, I can not find polygons, lines and points in Map pannel as well as in problem settings. This leads me directly not able to assign with select by map polygons or points. Does anyone know how to recover this supermesh? It is inactive when I check the view tool. That is so strange, I did not delete any of them and in former stored fems, I could still find them and use these tools. now they are gone without any information! The help says supermesh may be by default not stored because of the 3d large model. But I do not want to rebuild it again cause my model is truely too complicated and it is time consuming. Any way to get them back?
Thanks in advance!

Ok, thanks Dr. Björn, I will look to it!
Another information, yesterday I tried it again, it finally began to run after about 1 hour sticking there, but very slowly, so it seems that the model is too complex for the computer, I am trying parallel solver using a quadcore pc today. Anyway, thanks a lot! :)

Hi, there, under the latest version of feflow 7, the bug seems still not fixed, multilayer well assignment can only work with horizontal edges, but my former version defined vertical wells are surprisingly not able to be changed and even not able to be deleted, please check this bug again. it should also work when you select join edges. Regards.

Hi, I am recently using piChem to simulate rock water reactiions, I have a very complicated structure with 5 aquifers and 4 aquitards. I tried to define each zone as single reactive element, but after I define all these zones attached to phreeqc files respectively, feflow seems to have crash problem, the time run panel buttons are unacitve all the time, and the model does not run at all, always saying 'computing' but the time step stays at 0d without any other errors. The worst thing is, I can not even close feflow ! But when I tried the piChem examples, or establish a simple model with same definitions using phreeqc, for example, one layer model, it could run. Therefore, does anybody know how I should solve it? Is it because the model layers are too many for the computer to calculate or? any suggestions to improve?
Thanks in advance!!

I have encountered similar problem, but after I changed the error tolerance value to a relatively larger one, the model ran faster and no such tiny time step came up. However, it is true that the model is suffering from a numerical instability situation that maybe we should check the model definition. Regards

Hi, I also wonder whether now there is possibility to export the rate budget datasets which can be handled more easilly, for example, excel files or other format spreadsheets? txt files are really time consuming...

Thanks a lot Peter, yes, you are right. I tried Discrete Features defined inbetween two aquifers, it works well with this situation. Also I will try another option to define the aquitard with partly high conductivity values areas. Hope that works too.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your answer.
Actually I am not so interested in faults definition, or you are saying that discrete feature can be one tunnel for two aquifers that works?
Do you have any other suggestions without using discrete features to realize my assumption? that several aquifers have influences on each other as I described? is it possible for feflow to do such modeling? In fact, I just need one connection between two aquifers. when pumping one, the other may also have changes(e.g. water heads decrease).
Thanks again.

Hi there,
I am using feflow6.2 now, I would like to set up a groundwater system with hydraulic links between different aquifers. I have several aquifers and inbetween aquitards. For example, bottom aquifer may get recharge from the top unconfined aquifer cause there is a fault. Or when pumping a single aquifer, those other aquifers which have hydraulic link to it will also have water heads variations. I tried to define the same hydraulic heads bc but as long as there is an aquitard between, the water table did not change at all, means no influence happens between two aquifers. Anyone who knows how to realize that in feflow? My topic is in fact a dewatering problem for several layers, but those layers are all potential water sources and they are also influencing each other.
Thanks in advance.
