Do you have dimention of your culverts?
It might be better to model ur culverts in Mike 11 and link it to Mike 21 by Mike Flood .

Thanks Mathieu for your response.
I want to use Mike 11 and mike 21 and Mike flood for flood study .
My area of interest has Nad87-feet coordinate. My data (channel lengh ,Cross sections, Flow... ) are in American units. whenever I import my asci file and import the projection, my dsf2 file and mike 11 file are in meter and i can not change it to feet. How can I change meter to feet in dsf2 and mike 11 files?
cheers

I need to convert the mike system from Si to us system. Based on old mike zero manuals, there should be a file MIKEZero_US_Units.ubg in C:\Program Files\Common Files\DHI\MIKEZero . However I can not find it. Does anybody know where I can find it?
Cheers

There is a discussion about comparing Hec-ras, Tuflow and DHI Products.
Unfortunately there is no comment from DHI. IT would be great if DHI can contribute to the discussion.

As Ricardo said Modelers put weir above the culvert not parallel to it.
I have a question. If as gillianm said we have a culvert in a flat floodplain. It is clear that in case of flooding, the flood will be spread out in ae large area of the floodplain behind the the culvert structure. If we don't have DEM for the floodpalin to use Mike 21 and Mike flood. what is the best approach to model it in mike 11?
cheers

Hi Ricardo
Thanks for your advice.
I am not getting this error close to a control structure. sometimes there is no flow in my irrigation canal and it is getting dry. I think that is the reason of this error. I have 1 more question.( If you don't mind )
Is it it possible to get this error in our model just because of instability issues? (I mean in one branch model(without any junction))
Cheers.

Hi Ricardo,
I am running Mike 11 model only. My model is an irrigation canal with several control structures and offtakes.
in addition to warning no 53, I am getting warning no 42 saying that :
The latteral flow in .... is greater than the amount of water available. the lateral out flow has been modified to avoid the local water level falling bellow the bed level . The modification has occurred 2100 times.
I think the model tries to add some more water to canal to fix the problem.
I did not it would happen in channels as well.
Thanks for you help

I am getting warning no 53 when I run my model.
Warning no 53 : total corrected volume 0.526
I have looked around the Mike 11 reference manual and Mike 11 user guide I could not find any related information.
It would be great if some body can answer my question.
Cheers.
