Is there any tutorial for modelling sediment transport in Mike 11?

I tried to model some example from my hydraulic text book in mike 11 and Hecras
These examples are steady flow examples (I have to work out the normal water level and Froude number in trapezoidal irrigation channels). while I get good result from Hecras. I do not get good results from Mike11 . While the water level is quite precise in mike 11 (+- 0.05 m error), I get odd Froude number (Although the example contains both supercritical and subtropical flow, Froude number is below 1 for all part of channel)
why do I get bad results from Mike 11? Is it true that Mike 11 is not a good choice for steady analysis?
Cheers

I found how to extract the froude number and some characteristics flow. Just go to HD parameter file and then go to add output tab. You can choose the parameter(like froude number, Discharge, radius and ...) that you want to be extracted during simulation.

Is it possible to obtain velocity,Area or froude number time series for specific point in mike 11?
-
Is it possible to show critical depth (like Hecras) on longitudinal profile in result file? How can be figured out if the flow is sub or super critical?

Answer : There was an inconsistency between my network file and cross section file. I just opened the network file by notepad and fixed the problem.

Hi,
I have built a model with couple of control structures and culverts. now when I try to run the model, this messege is coming up : structure ignored at branch( Branch Name) , chainage (There is no chainage) since branch is unknown. I have checked every thing, every thing looks Ok but still I have a problem! Any help?

Model it in Hec ras and then compare the results. Maybe the the manning number on flood plain does not effect the water level that much!
cheers,

Hi Mar,
Maybe you can edit your cross section in any text editor like notepad. you can find some information about the cross section file structure In Mike 11 user guide page 210.
