Thanks Bjorn - Could you elaborate why, from a professionals point-of-view? I need to convince my colleagues why it's a better idea, and I'm not certain of the correct theory to apply..

Hi all,
I'm trying to model a shallow unconfined aquifer with FEFlow, in Planar 2D. The mean-sea level is at 0, and there's approximately 30 meters of unsaturated aquifer above.
Using the Standard (saturated) flow equation doesn't make sense to me, given the unconfined (and unsaturated) portion of the aquifer.
Do I need to use Richards Equations to accurately model this situation, or are there settings I can use to better represent this with standard flow equation?
Cheers,

Thanks Bjorn.
Are scalar/vector export options being worked on for a future release?

Is there a pre-existing way to export a 2D model to VTK format?
Or, if anyone has done this before, how did you achieve it?
I am trying to export the mass concentration and mesh into VTK for further work. Apparently v7.1 does export VTK, but I can not see anything in the 2D menu.
Cheers

The issue was with the "High-Quality Rendering" setting.
Disabling it solved the problem.
Present with latest Nvidia drivers on a Quadro K620

I've just upgraded to 7.1, and my meshes and *.fem files from 7.0 are not showing any information. (See screenshot)
Any ideas how I can see my data again?
Cheers

I see the online help and 'whats new' for feflow 7.1, but I have no option to update my install yet.
When will this update going to be released...?

Nevermind - Answered my own question a moment afterwards.
You can save-as the DAC file which prompts to drop records.

I've got a DAC file which appears to be corrupt thanks to this wonderful instability problem.
Is there a way I can remove the corrupted iterations? (i.e. anything after the 3000-th iteration or so?)

I guess I get to keep begging here in the forums!
