Hi,
seems reasonable.
Are there trees, bushes, flat lands ???

Hi,
you can simply use the Create new dfs0 - function:
File > New > DFS0 > select: FROM ASCII FILE.
Make sure, that your Ascii - File has the appropriate format.

Hi,
yes, you are right.
In most cases this error is related to strong morphology gradients.
If you are using Flexible mesh it could also be related to a strong difference of sizes of neighboured elements.
You should indeed take a first look to those issues before you are starting to change any numerical parameters.

Hi Silverbrook,
a good way to find problematic areas in a model is to view the velocities and the pressure heads.
Another way is to build differences of head and velocities between different time steps to find instabilities in a model.
Also another way is to build differences between different slices.
Hope, this helps.

Have you assigned any head constraints at your boundary nodes ?
In my experience, when a head boundary condition is lower than the min head constraint or higher than a max head constraint, the boundary become instable.
maybe this helps.

Dear Maik,
I assume, that you haven't assigned pumping rates to your well boundary conditions, is that right ?
If you have used multi layer wells, in my experience your boundary nodes work like a vertical connection between all layers, where your well nodes are defined.
A groundwater exchange between all layers is enabled. If you have a layered aquifer with different conductivities, this effect may produce your water level changes.

Dear Peter,
thank you, works fine.
Exactly as described in your example.

To precise the problem:
Dev-C++ doesn't support project dependencies. Therefore it is not possible to attach the ifm - project as described in the Hello - World - tutorial to the Hello - World - project.
Has anyone a workaround ?
Any answers are appreciated.

Dear Members,
has anyone experiences with setting up the HelloWorld - example with Dev-C++ - Development environment ??

I think I found the solution in the awk - File.
My PC can't interpret the HOME and FILE - Parameter in the awk - File.
So if I use a DOS - Workaround, the Filter works fine and reliable.
