  • Re: Where to define density of solid phase

    Thanks, Carlos.

But I only find the volumetric heat capacity under the 'material properties'. Where is the specific heat capacity defined?

Thanks for the reply, Peter. I will try.

  • solver recommendations

    Hi All,

When I model BHE with FEFLOW 7.5, it runs very slow, say, it takes around 12 hours on a machine with 8 cores for a model of simulation period of 10 days. The solver I use is SAMG. Any recommendations for the solver?

Also, according to the documentation "When SAMG solver is too slow or struggle to converge, is worth trying to use PETSc AMG, which, presenting a different formulation and implementation, might perform better." But the option is grey in my version and not selectable. Has this solver been implemented?

    Thanks in advance,

    Haiyan
  • Where to define density of solid phase

    Hi All,

I am modeling BHE with FEFLOW7.5 and wondering where to define the density of solid phase? I checked the documentation and only found density for fluid and refrigerant.

    Thanks in advance,

    Haiyan
  • Re: Error find out with multilayer well parameter assignament.

If I recall correctly, I got this error too while linking the Excel file with wells. But that was with the FEFLOW Demo exercise. I did not try it again with Version 7.5.

Thanks Peter. It can be implemented by means of an IFM module. We did this in an case study of a BTES (Brædstrup, Denmark). It works quite well when comparing simulated temperatures to actual measurements inside the BTES.

    Hi Soren,

I have similar problem. Can you please let me know the name of the IFM module? Is it a plug-in which can be obtained from FEEFLOW support? Thanks,
