  • What type of outflow boundary condition should I use?

Thu, 26 Jan 2017 14:44:16 GMT – What type of outflow boundary condition should I use?
Hello i have 1 question. What type of boundary condition shoud I use (i have 2D HD FM model), when i have known discharge as an input boundary, but unknow discharge or water level at outflow? The input boundary is time varying and i dont know water level,Q-H curve or discharge at outflow.  In Hec-Ras there is normal velocity where i can specify energy slope, but i dont know how to deal whit this problem in Mike.  In examples there is known time series of discharge at inflow and known time series of  water level at outflow. But what to do when water level is unknown?
    Thank you very much.
  • How to create time and space variable dfsu file (precipitation)?

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 13:00:06 GMT – How to create time and space variable dfsu file (precipitation)?
Hello. I am very new to Mike 21 FM software and i am little bit confused about creating my precipitation input to  Mike 21 FM HD simulation.
I want to use precipitation during my simulation which varying in time and space. I can create one time step in mesh generator (using precipitation instead of bathymetry data) and export to dfsu. But how to create file whit more time steps? For example every 5 minutes different precipitation? I tried Data Manager, but  unsuccessfully.
    Thank you very much
