Question
I am having trouble installing MIKE 2026, connecting to the new entitlement-based license, or accessing the required features in the DHI License Manager 2026. What should I check, and what information should I send to Customer Care if the issue persists?

Answer
This checklist applies to MIKE 2026 and newer, which use DHI’s new entitlement management platform. MIKE 2025 and earlier uses the old licensing system and requires different troubleshooting steps.

We hope that one of the articles in our Knowledge Base helps resolve the issue. If your installation or licensing problem persists, please contact Customer Care and include the information listed below so that we can further investigate.

#01 - Confirm which licensing system you are using

MIKE 2026 and newer uses the new entitlement management platform
MIKE 2025 and earlier uses the old licensing system
MIKE 2025 and MIKE 2026 are separate and can run parallel to each other during the transition

#02 - Check the installation

For Internet entitlement users, everything needed to connect the license is installed automatically with MIKE software. During installation, choose “Demo/Unchanged” and connect your license after installation.

If you are using a Network entitlement, the DHI License Server 2026 must first be installed on the server machine by the company administrator. Users connecting to an existing network server do not need to install the server component on their own PC.

#03 - Check your entitlement connection details
If you are using an Internet entitlement, please make sure:

Your administrator has added you to the entitlement
You are using the connection details from the “Access granted...” email
The values are entered in the correct fields in the DHI License Manager 2026

The required connection details are:

Producer ID
Server Domain
Server ID
User Key

For MIKE 2026, the standard values are:

Producer ID: flex13062
Server Domain: eu

Please note:

Your User Key is personal and must not be shared with other users.  If the connection fails, it is often due to a typo in the input data.

#04 - Check the DHI Entitlement Portal

In the Entitlements tab, you can check the Installation type assigned to your entitlement.  If the Installation type is Internet, users must be added and assigned individually before they can connect.  If the Installation type is Network, users do not need to be added individually. They need access to the network server instead.

Your Entitlement ID can be found in the DHI Entitlement Portal under the Entitlements tab.

#05 - Check for network or security restrictions

If the connection fails with a communication or validation error, the issue may be caused by your company's network security, such as a firewall, proxy, or SSL inspection setting.  If possible, please try connecting once from a different network, for example, a mobile hotspot. If it works there, this usually indicates a restriction on your normal company network.  If needed, please ask your IT team to review the required outbound access for the MIKE 2026 entitlement connection:

Protocol: HTTPS
Port: 443
FQDN (Domain): flex13062.compliance.flexnetoperations.eu

The DHI License Manager log can help identify some local connection issues. However, firewall, proxy, or SSL inspection checks must be carried out by your IT team.

#06 - If the issue still persists, please send us the following information

  • When was the last time it connected successfully?

  • Has there been any recent system or Windows update on your side?

  • Screenshots of the error message(s), together with a short description of what you were trying to do.

  • Your Entitlement ID, which can be found in the DHI Entitlement Portal under the Entitlements tab.

  • The version of MIKE / update you have installed, or are trying to install.

  • Whether your company uses a proxy server, SSL inspection, or other network security controls.

  • If relevant, a screenshot of the Connect tab in DHI License Manager 2026 showing what it is connected to.

  • If relevant, a screenshot from the DHI Entitlement Portal (for example, the Entitlements tab or the user assignment view).

#07 - Please also send the relevant log files
Please send us the log files from:
C:\Users{username}\AppData\Roaming\DHI\LicSys\LicAdapter.log

If you cannot find this folder, it may be hidden. In File Explorer, go to:
View > Show > Hidden items.  You can also paste this into the File Explorer address bar:
%AppData%\DHI\LicSys

#08 - Special note for network servers and offline environments

MIKE 2026 does not use physical dongles under the new entitlement system.  For offline or server-based setups, the equivalent approach is a Network Server that is software-locked to a specific computer.   Setting up or changing a network server should be done by the company administrator.
