Is it possible to purchase ArcGIS extensions, for instance Spatial Analyst or 3D Analyst?
Answer
No, you are not able to purchase these extensions as they are not needed as part of the MIKE+ software.
Spatial Analyst (SA) and 3D Analyst (3D) in MIKE URBAN were based on the ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) extension. These extensions were used in the implementation to support the catchment delineation based on DEM and information on the network (nodes, manholes, etc). In MIKE+ the same functionality is supported by applying “Generate Catchment on the basis of DEM and Nodes”.
DHI no longer sells or renews the SMA (Service Maintenance Agreement) having any of these two extensions. Customers without the SMA on these extensions can continue to use the licenses as they were purchased.
