I want to model a source of brine that released from half a meter above the ground. as I do that and run a model, I get a salinity stream up to the surface (besides the stratified halocline in the bed) I tried to use all options to set it ( layer number, distance above ed, distance below surface)
does anybody know why does it happen? (the salinity of the source is of course higher than the rest of the domain)
another question is if is there a way to set the source to discharge from an area and not from a point?
thank you !!

Hi Daniel,
could you solve your issue already?
On the source "size": It has to be a point source. To cover an area, one way would be to setup (standard or simple) source per element.
Best regards
Stefan

Thank you Stefan,
no, I couldn't get rid of the upward stream but eventually, it didn't affect much on the model.
I will try your Idea for using several point sources over an area
