#MIKE21: Hi, I am simulating compound estuarine + tidal flow and I have assigned inflow boundary for river and tide elevation at the ocean side. During my simulation, the water level suddenly increases near the tide boundary and the simulation stops. I tried remeshing, and with different initial conditions, but sometimes simulation diverges in just 200-500 iterations, sometimes it completes 2-3 days flow simulation and then diverges. My domain length (along the coast) is 55km and width (along the river) is 22km. I use time step: 15sec, low order time and space discretization. Could you suggest to me how to smooth out these oscillations? what should be the best initial conditions?
