Elevation as temporal variable

Dear all,

I will use FEFLOW to create 3D model for dewatering an open pit in a mine area. I will simulate the model for the mine life. As you know, pit depth and mine area always change, so how can define this elevation change for the mine life.  Can I define elevation as a temporal variation? I mean, I have weekly elevation contour belong to mine area. How can I define this weekly change to the model ?

I suggest to define the stages using either Seepage face Boundary Conditions (BC) or WellBC's. You may activate / de-activate / re-activate the BC's of interest by imposing modulation functions. A modulation function is represented by a time-series which is used as a multiplier for the value you imposed. Use a value of 1 in your time-series if the BC is activated and a gap if the BC's is deactivated.
