Hi everybody :)

I wana calibrate my 21 sw model. How can I increase significant wave height? which parameter is more effective?
one of my result is in attach.

thanks

you should try the auto calibration from mike zero. and probably you should play with the background charnock parameter if you are using wind forcing

I played with two 0.05 and 0.1 background charnock parameter (Default is 0.01) and unfortunately lower wave still occur and not increased.

Just my 2 cents, you can try to increase the number of directions.

you can try by decreasing bottom friction and wave breaking parameter (unless you dont exactly know that value for your location)

A couple of other things that you could try include:

1) If directionally decoupled formulation, increase the steepness-related breaking parameter (say 2-5).
2) If fully spectral formulation, use coupled air-sea interaction instead of uncoupled.
3) If fully spectral formulation, reduce white capping parameter (though not generally recommended).
