Hi,

I am very new to prepare data and use MIKE SHE.

Is there any automatic tool that converts ESRI GRID data to dfs0 time series? Also, can someone help me out how to assign the item numbers to the grid values?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

In the MIKE ZERO Toolbox there are tools for converting ESRI ASCII raster grids to dfs2 files, meaning convertion between ESRI raster format and DHI raster format. If you want to add the time dimension, by getting a time series from a time varying grid, then you would have to use the DHI SDK for reading and writing DHI files (dfs files). Look at http://www.yourepeat.com/watch/?v=q3pfVKRgI6g for more information.

Hi Oluf,

Thank you so much for sending me very helpful information. I looked at the link on how to use DHI SDk for reading and writing DHI files (dfs). I indeed want to get time varying grid values (monthly average) and convert them to dfs0 to add as time dimension. But in the SDK examples I don't see any functions that convert dfs2 (grid) to dfs0. Do I need to write codes for this in SharpDevelop? I'm also new for c/c# programming. Could you please help out on this issue?

Thanks,

The conversion from dfs2 to dfs0 can be conducted by using the MIKE ZERO toolbox.

Open MIKE ZERO>new file>MIKE ZERO>MIKE ZERO Toolbox (.mzt)> Ok

Extraction>Timeseries from 2D files> ...

You would need to specify the grid cell indexes (x,y) of the points in form of a table.

Alternatively, you can try a tool that give you the dfs0 files after specifying a point shape file and a dfs2/dfs3 file at
