Hi,

Im using Feflow 6.1 to develop mi first flow model. Now im triyng to set up the pumping wells but they are not close enough to a node. Is there any well or node nesting option? Wich is the best solution? refine the mesh until i get a node close enougt to a well??

Thanks,

D

Hi,

You can make the assignment of the pumping wells via the Parameter Association Dialog (right click on a specific file in the Map panel). Here, you can find several ways for Neighborhood Relationship. In the help system there is a fill description of all variables.
In principle, it is always recommended to make a local refinement around pumping wells in order to improve the numerical solution. So, if you are not very far with the model setup, I would highly recommend you to go back to the Supermesh View and reformulate your conceptual model (e.g. include new wells, generate new mesh with local refinements, etc.).

Cheers,

Carlos

As an alternative to re-doing the entire mesh generation (in case your model would require a lot of data input to be done again in this case), you can manually refine the mesh around the new well location and use the move and smooth options to ensure both perfect positioning of the well and good mesh quality. All these tools are located in the Mesh Geometry toolbar.
