Hello,
Is it possible that when we apply a hydraulic head of 14 cm during 24 hours at the top of an heterogenous column, that the saturation profile doesn't vary through the time ????
I mean by this that there's no infiltartion that happens due to this event!!!
P.S: hydrodynamic parameters vary from one horizon to another, I supposed A is small to help the model to infiltrate!!!!!but I haven't any reaction from the model!!!
Thanks for your help!
Sana!

I think the best indication to check if water is actually infiltrating or not is to check the budget on the top slice. If water infiltrates you should see a response in the head/pressure/saturation. If it is significant however depends of course on other model properties, especially material parameters and boundary conditions.
