,
Has anyone managed to assign discrete elements via a database before?
There doesn't appear to be an option for importing a database as far as I can see. Has anyone found an alternative method of snapping to points?
Thanks,
steve

I should qualify this - i need to import the discrete elements as points, not polygons.

To my knowledge the only way to import discrete elements is a join (a-join with polygons, l-join with lines). So you have to create first some line or polygon features from your points. Since the discrete elements are supposed to be "discrete" there is no interpolation routine given for them and maybe that dould not make sence?

Indeed the only available option is joining for lines and polygons. There is currently no option to join with points. We will think about this for the future. A regionalization, however, does not seem to be required here.
