Hi Emilia,
The definition is available in the White Paper Vol. IV page 49. Here is the link:
https://www.mikepoweredbydhi.com/-/media/shared%20content/mike%20by%20dhi/flyers%20and%20pdf/product-documentation/feflow%20white%20papers%20vol,-d-,5.pdf

If you have any question about the applicability in a FEFLOW project, I would recommend you to contact the FEFLOW technical support at mike.de@dhigroup.com

Best regards
Carlos

Thanks for the link but it sends me to the Vol. V and when I google the vol. IV, nothing shows up. I tried to find ideal element size in the link you provided but it does not seem to be there. Probably because it is in the vol IV and the link sends me to Vil. V?
I just want a basic definition about what there things are and if they are related with the diameter of the well and the size of the mesh elements around the well.

Hi Emilia, the link shared by Carlos is valid, in this white paper you can find the mathematical relation
Search in google white papers feflow vol v and in the first results an automatic pdf file will be downloaded. Then, on page 49 you will find a better explanation. Also, if you have problems you will find the same information in our FEFLOW Book https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-642-38739-5 page 690.
