Load input and run WEST from external software

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a possibility to load input files and call WEST from an external software (R or Matlab) ? The objective would be to perform a scenario analysis on different input (rain series in this case)?
If so, is there any example available using R or Matlab?

sure it is technically possible: not with the standard, commercial version of WEST, but [b]through Tornado[/b].

Just FYI, we have Python code that does something similar indeed: it calls tornado and runs a WEST project file. We've been able to parallelise simulations this way, something you were also trying to achieve I guess. I you're interested in more information, you can always contact me!
