  • Vertical temperature gradient

    Hello,
is there a device in Feflow 6 to insert a thermal gradient (maybe linear or a bit different) on z direction?
I would like to use a different condition than putting the temperatures to the bottom slice and to surface slice in a 3D model.
    Thank you very much.

  • Negative pressure

    Hello,
I am simulating a 2D vertical geological section, stead-state with heat transport.
My BC are a 200°C on the bottom, 15°C at the surface, fluid flux on a surface region.
The temperature profile is quite good at the end, but I reach negative pressures along the section (-5000 kPa) !
What is the bad conditioning factor?
    Thanks for your kind attention.
    Best regards
    Maurizio
  • Re: Tiff maps - error

I could at least import the tif map into feflow and then shifted the origin of the axis maunually. But is there a way to shift also the global coordinates origin, than just the local coordinates origin?
    Thank you very much.

  • Re: Faults and fractures with high permeability

    Thank you very much!
How do I import the discrete feature element in the new interface then?

  • Faults and fractures with high permeability

    Hello,
which is the best way in Feflow 6 to simulate faults and fractures with high permeability in a 2D vertical section? Creating a thin poligon? Is that such a new way in the new Feflow?
Thank you very much for your help.

  • Re: Tiff maps - error

    Thank you very much.
Do I need a complete license also for WGEO to georeference the map?
Anyway, having a tif format file, which is the simplest way to georeference (manually, for example, I mean)?
    Thanks again.

  • Tiff maps - error

    Hello,
I am trying to upload a map oof a 2D vertical section in feflow 6.
Loading the file WGEO is opened automatically, but clicking on "Back to Feflow" it crashes saying that "The map " ... .tiff" is invalid! Unable to determine world coordinates!"
It happens also with a .jpeg format file.
    What is the problem?
    Thanks for your help!

  • Re: feflow - cluster usage

    Peter,
thank you for your answer and for clarifying thi sissue.
I need to plan some numerical simulation of geothermal reservoir with the tutor of my PhD project.

  • feflow - cluster usage

    Hello,
I would like to know how to design and set (for buying) a cluster to use feflow and other software for groundwater modeling.
I think I will have to treat 3D problems (10 km x 10 km x 4 km, for example) in transient conditions too.
How do you think I have to project the memory capacity?
Can I use a cluster with a single-seat Feflow licence? Or do I have to buy a new one?
Thank you very much for answering
