  • RE: Hydraulic Head BC and Subdomain Boundary Period Budget

Wow okay please ignore my first question; I just realised the DAC file was saving to a different location and I was opening the first location - embarrasing.
  • Hydraulic Head BC and Subdomain Boundary Period Budget

Hi, I'm new to FEFLOW and have some questions, i appreciate any responses.  1) I put together a simple transient model to develop my FEFLOW skills, and I am happy with it all so far, though I put on a Hydraulic-Head BC which I later removed, though when I run the simulation, the BC is only removed from the first time step, and then is applied again. When I am in the problem file, I cannot see the Head BC and cannot change the time step to remove it from later steps. Am I missing something? 2) I'm trying to calculate the discharge as a result of lowering the Hydraulic Head, as would be encountered when dewatering is required and the input is based on desired dewatering level. I've selected the elements around the boundary condition and clicked 'use selection as boundary budget domain'. This is a two part question: - do I select the elements from the slice that the BC is applied, or the top slice? - is the 'nonshared BCs' outflow value the volume that is being discharged?
