  • Typical values for storage compressibility [1/m]

    Hello everybody
    I am looking for typical values used for storage compressibility in order to compare it to the one I have in my model.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Van Genuchten : parameter calibration

    Hi
    I'm working on artificial infiltration "ponds". We have measured the groundwater level rise during one cycle of artificial reinfiltration. Now I am trying to calibrate my unsaturated parameters in order to get back that measurements. My problem is the following, the paramater I get seem not being relevant:
    */ A =0.25
    */ n = 10
    */ Ss = 3 (that's my problem : I need to have that big value in order to minimize my groundwater rise, otherwise it's too big)
    */ Sr = 0.01

    On the other hand, my porosity is equal to 0.35.

    But I checked the water budget for the infiltration ponds and it's ok, the groundwater level too.
    Has anybody an idea of how Feflow calculate with that parameter values?
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    I apologize because I finally found the answer alone in a previous topic : november 21, 2006, from Eladd.

  • Time varying in/out flow

    Hello
    I'm a beginner with feflow 5.3. I have a transient model. I would like to put variable in/out flow on top of the first layer (rain during one year...) but I don't manage it. I already have loaded the time varying power function in the temporal and control data, but I don't understand how to load it in the in/out flow material property.
    I'm doing following steps :
    1-T-List
    2-in/ou flow
    3-material data time list editor : I only can assign current distribution to new timelevels <-- that's the point where I don't understand anymore what I'm doing and what I have to do...
    Thanks in advance.
