  • Re: Modelling stratification in shallow estuarine lakes

Wed, 30 May 2018 02:54:29 GMT – Modelling stratification in shallow estuarine lakes
Hi, I'm aware this is an old topic however it's not been resolved and I have a similar problem (thermocline not maintained over model simulation). Is there anyone who can add anything to the above?
  • Fixed surface layer thickness

Fri, 19 Jan 2018 05:09:26 GMT – Fixed surface layer thickness
    Hello All,

I'm setting up a Mike3 model and I like the surface layer to have a fixed thickness (water depth changes as there is tide applied to the model boundary), is there a way to do this? As far as I can tell you can only have sigma layers at the surface which means layer thickness varies with water depth (which is what I dont want). Tips welcome.

    Thanks
  • Mike 21 Toolbox - tidal prediction with user defined constituents

Wed, 29 Mar 2017 22:18:36 GMT – Mike 21 Toolbox - tidal prediction with user defined constituents
See title. User defined constituents can be loaded in from a so-called .con file. Does anyone know the format of these files? Simply [constituent_name amplitude phase] doesn not work. I want to create these .con files with matlab to save time.
  • Dsf1 file generation - how do I know/can I influence orientation?

    Mon, 06 Mar 2017 20:40:56 GMT – Dsf1 file generation - how do I know/can I influence orientation?
Hi, Im generating dsf1 files (wave parameters varying in time and along a line) in matlab. Say I have ten points along my model boundary with wave info, how do I know or how can I influence how Mike decides at which end of the boundary it starts to apply those points? I have a feeling it might have to do with orientation of the boundaries, but haven't ruled out other determining factors. Thank you.
