Hi Everyone,
I want to regularize the pilot points using Tikhonov Regularization based on using co-variance matrix only without any preferred values or differences as shown in the attached figure. Every time I am applying this, the Pest check returns an error message that is saying "If PEST is run in regularisation mode then at least one observation group must be a regularisation group; that is, the first five letters of the name of at least one group must be "regul", and I am not even able to change the obs group names as they are linked to obs definition. So is there anyway to just adapt the spatial correlation between the values as a regularization way without any preferred values or differences?? thanks

Is there anyway to assign Heads BC as parameters in Fepest except IFM scripting. If IFM is the only way, is there any prepared script for such issue as it is very common and I have no experience in IFM scripting.

I am carrying a very simple 2D transport conservative model (no reaction term), with very high pectle no., so it suppose to be advection/dispersion transport flow. there is one confining vertical layer with 2 openings to mimic a fracture open.
the plume as you can see in the attached figure is not expanding vertically across the mode, as could be expected from such simulation and even in nature (my lab experiment).
could anyone help in this, and what could be the problem in such simple simulation
