I found Sheet Aeration: View | Windows menu ---> Sheets ----> delete Aeration sheet

    Hello,

I opened TwoASU example from the tutorial, and I think that I have not changed anything. I would like to change y_S but I'm not able to do it. The line of y_S is blue. Could you please tell me what does it mean?

I'm following the tutorial, and this should be related why I'm not able to follow the use of slider to vary a model parameter with y_S (chapter 7.5.1), and after the local sensitivity analysis (chapter 8). I don't know where can I find Sheet “Aeration”. A beginner with WEST...

    Thank you
  • Units of temperature

Just to be sure; are ºC and degC the same?
    Thank you
  • Re: Not able to set the temperature in aerobic tank

I saw what was happening. The aeration controller was linked to Temp, and not to Kla.
    Thanks
  • Not able to set the temperature in aerobic tank

    Hello,
I'm following TwoASU Sample example from the Tutorial.
WEST is not allowing to change the temperature in the aerobic tank from 15 deg to 20 ºC.
Could you please explain why does it happen?

(I have already changed the temperature in the anoxic tank to 20ºC).

    Thanks,
    João

    Thank you.
  • Re: Plug flow reactor Simulation

    Hello,

1 - Could you give please give me a reference in how to plan a tracer test?

    2 - Which substance/parameter can I/should I use as tracer?

    Thank you,
    Kind regards,

  • ASM1 or other advanced model

    Dear all,

I will use WEST to model a WWTP with classic secondary treatment. The biological reactor is plug-flow activated sludge (http://www.aguasdocentrolitoral.pt/pt/menu-de-topo/comunicacao/galeria/detalhe-galeria-imagens/?id=61&img=17&bl=1). I will not look at the solid phase now but it includes two anareobic digestors, and the biogas is used for generating electricity.

My question is which kind of model should I use? Is it sufficient to use ASM1? (The discharge is in deep sea, and from here, I would say that P removal would not ever required).

As it is my first time using WEST, are there important suggestions?

    Thank you,
    Kind regards,
    João Vieira
