I just purchased C-MAP chart. How do I activate the C-MAP chart license?

Congratulations on your purchase.
C-MAP chart is the sea chart information in digital form. This is the data, which is turned into your model bathymetries. C-MAP chart is sold as “one off purchase” on a dongle for a specific version. It is required to install MIKE C-MAP prior to activating the license. Check this link here for C-MAP Installation Note.
#01 - Make sure to plug in the C-MAP dongle
Once the installation of MIKE C-MAP is completed you are ready to activate the license. The multiple charts can be added on the same dongle but it requires a license activation when you switch between two charts. See Fig. 1. below an example of what a C-MAP dongle looks like.

#02 - Download and save the chart and the license to your local PC
You must have receive an e-mail containing a link to download the chart together with a license. The chart is uploaded to a secured FTP server for you to download.
#03 - Register the chart and the license
Open C-MAP Chart Manager to register the database manually – e.g. browse to the location where the chart is saved. Make sure to ‘Set it as default’. See Fig. 2 below of an example of registering chart version 1241.

Under 'Licenses' tab, click on 'Import from file' to browse to the location where the C-MAP chart license is saved. See Fig. 3.

Now you are ready to open MIKE C-MAP.
