Question 1
Where is the MSL model library?

Answer
With WEST 2025 Update 1, the slow transition to a new scripting language for the WEST model library has been completed.  After several releases that shipped and supported both libraries, i.e. the old MSL library and the new Modelica library, WEST 2025 Update 1 is only equipped with the Modelica library.  The MSL model library is therefore no longer supported.

Question 2
Can I still use my old WEST projects built on an MSL library?

Answer
Yes, it is still possible to work on existing projects, built using an MSL library: the projects can be modified and simulations executed without any restriction.  In fact, new projects could still be created using an MSL library, although this is strongly discouraged.

Question 3
If I have a custom MSL library, can I convert it to an equivalent Modelica library?

Answer
Yes, this is possible through the WEST Model Editor although a fully automated procedure to accomplish the task does not exist.  Conversion Models can be imported, but the overall architecture of Categories and Instances will have to be worked out manually.
DHI assistance in such a conversion process will be evaluated case-by-case.
