Question
I would like to save my data for 'Current direction' in unit 'degrees' in my dfsu file. It is presently given as 'radians'. How can I do this in an easy way?

Trick
The chosen unit for visualizing the data in the presentation tools is specified in the Unit Base Group Dialog. This will automatically convert the values for the display in the plot, however, it will not change the actual values or unit saved in the dfs data file.

To change the item values in the dfs file to match another unit you can use Data Manager in MIKE Zero. The process is described below:

#01 - Open the dfsu file in DataManager and select View --> Items... from the Toolbar

#02 - From the pop-up dialog, select the item to convert and choose a different Data unit. Say 'Yes' to convert the data to the new unit (see Fig. 1).

#03 - When you press the OK button, the data values will be converted to use the new Data unit and the Data Manager will show these values with the new unit (see Fig. 2).

For more complex conversion tasks the user is also referred to the MIKE Core SDK and DHI github resources.
