History of FEFLOW Development
FEFLOW is under constant development with new features and functionalities with every release. The principal version releases are typically in November of each year, with smaller version updates throughout the year.   • New Python implementation of the Well Manager (available only with 8.0.2).
  • New 3D Supermesh Tools for interactively create 3D geometries (available only with 8.0.2, see here).
  • New 3D mesh generator for tetrahedral meshes (available only with 8.0.2, see here).

FEFLOW 7.4
Release date: December 2020
New feature descriptions

  • Extended Python interface and a robust new FEFLOW Python APIs documentation. IFM methods are available through the C++ interface.
  • Flexible framework for multi-species transport and import/export of chemical transport species and their kinetic reactions.
  • FEFLOW piHMC plug-in is installed automatically. It incorporates a fully hydro-mechanical coupling in the flow simulation in FEFLOW.
  • Separate tool to convert MODFLOW 6 files into a FEFLOW mesh including the import of already-defined material properties.
  • New OpenGL version maintaining the FEFLOW graphical components as cutting-edge technology.
  • New Meta Information block supporting the collaboration between groundwater modellers and supporting the documentation of workflows.
  • FePEST comes reloaded with a new set of interesting features.
