Question
Why are there 'gaps' in my displayed surface?

Answer
The issue may be related to the accuracy of the interpolation of the surface.  For domains using large coordinate values combined with small grid cells the accuracy may be insufficient.

Solution
The solution is twofold. The issue can be avoided by

#01 - artificially moving the domain to a location where the coordinate values are a factor of 10-100 smaller
#02 - increasing the near clipping value

Fig. 1 shows an example of a resulting water surface from a MIKE 21 BW simulation that is displayed on top of a bathymetry.

Right - the displayed surface when the domain area has manually been shifted to a location closer to equator
