Hi there,
I have recently started using MIKE SHE for my University Dissertation, where I
will be running precipitation models throughout various catchments, likely not
exceeding 6 square kilometres (grid size and model time period are still to be
determined, with my grid size purely dependent on how fast my model runs).
I have done previous precipitation models using HEC-RAS, and my computer
performed relatively poorly. My current CPU is a 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM)
i5-1235U 1.30 GHz, with 8 GB of RAM, and I was wondering the following:
* Would a memory upgrade (lets say a change to 16 GB) be sufficient to improve
performance (and potentially speed up the model run time) and;
* If my current CPU is not sufficient for MIKE SHE precipitation modelling,
what would be the minimum upgrade you would recommend
I'm relatively new to modelling so any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks again,
Simeon.
