Hi all,
when I set coastal head boundary along the coastal zone, we can give different values to different slices.my problem is this : if the layer is very thick, take 1 layer and slice 1, slice 2 for example,at slice 1, I set the head is 10m, and (10+30*0.25)=17.5mfor theslice 2,(of course the thickness of this layer is 30m ),the head on the layer 1 is a constant,is there a way to get a linear distribution along vertical orientation?
appreciate any help
Thanks in advance

Hi Likui,

there is no interpolation between slices in FEFLOW. However, in FEFLOW 5.3 you can set the saltwater head as the boundary condition, and FEFLOW will calculate the equivalent freshwater head automatically (Boundary conditions - Options - Head - Saltwater Head). Before doing so, both density ratio and concentration boundary condition have to be set.

Cheers,
Peter
