I am working on a 3D groundwater flow model in which we have injection wells. I assigned the injection wells using 'Multilayer Well BC'. However, I need to figure out where to apply injection temperature as 'Temperature BC'. I thought the injection temperature should be applied at the injection point (bottom of the borehole). However, when I applied the temperature at one node, the simulation did not consider that the injected water was passing through the borehole, meaning that the observed temperature at the upper level did not change. When the injection temperature was applied to all nodes where the multilayer well was defined, the results made more sense.
Can anyone help me with where to apply the injection temperature in Multilayer Wells?
