Hello,

I want to put  in a constant  Power of 1 W/m² in a Boundary Condition of 2 kind.
The model is first using daiyly timesteps.

Now feflow expect J/m²*d

1 W/m² = 1 J/s*m² = 1 J/((1/86400)d) = 86400 J/m²*d

does this make sense in Feflow?

What is to do using hourly timesteps?

Hi Melanit,

Your calculation is correct. However, you could spare some mathematical effort.  ;) Put a right click on the Heat-Flux BC in the Data panel and use the "Set Units" entry.

About the time-stepping. You could define hourly timesteps  in the Problem Settings/Temporal Properties . We usually recommend to stick to the automatic time-stepping and restrict the upper bound instead.
