What is Ss (compressibility) for in Multi-layer Wells?

What is specific storage (compressibility) in Multilayer Well BCs actually used for?


I had thought that storage was an aquifer property. What exactly does it do if I alter this and what real world property about well flow is this modelling?

Multilayer wells use discrete features for simulating the flow in the well pipe. Ss of multi-layer wells refers to the specific storage within the pipe.
