Good day

I am having trouble setting up and using a user spectrum as input for random wave generation.

What is the usual process? I have created a spectrum with energy values of 5m²/hz from .0001 to 0.01hz (10000 to 100s)

It takes a bit of effort to get this dfs0 file in the right format for the Random wave generator to accept, and once successful, it reports an error during processing. Please assist.

Thanks and regards
Willie

Further to my previous post I have attached sample files to illustrate my problem. Any input will be appreciated!

The Mike21 Toolbox file contains a setup called "whitenoise".

It uses a user spectrum called "whitenoise2.dfs0" (which is accepted according to the constraints), but upon execution an error is given as per "white_noise.log".

The other dfs0 file "whitenoise.dfs0" has the format I would have expected to be sufficient as input but fails the constraint check in the toolbox.

Just to report back, my problem has been solved with the installation of the MIKE21 SP2. Thanks to Niels Hvam for your assistance.
