Hi..

Can anyone explain me how to configure a pump in Mike 11 ? In reference manual it has been explained about the difference between configuring pump in h point and Q point. I have introduced a pump as regular pump in my canal network at a h-point. But water level is rising comparing with normal condition.

Hi,

I think that MIKE 11 internally decides where to place the pump structure (h-point or Q-point) based on whether you choose it to be a "Regular" or "Side structure" Type. If you want water to be pumped out of the system then use the "Side structure" Type.

Hi..Thank you very much for your reply. I observed how pumping stations work in Mike 11 as follow.
When we introduce a "Regular" type pump to the canal, normal flow is blocked and discharge only pumping capacity in the canal. In this phenomenon water does not draw off form the system . Also, if we use "Side structure" type pumping station, water is pump out without obstructing normal flow of the canal.

Thanks
