Good day everybody!!!!
I look forward someone can help me.
I developed a numerical model in FEFLOW (transient), which simulates the infiltration of rainfall in a natural slope, considering unsaturated soil (Van Genuchtem modified Model) and discrete features. It was monitored three points (see Fig.1). The convergence of the simulation was good (dt_max=1d), however, as the time-step size (max) was reduced to a smaller value (like 0.5, 0.1, 0.05 or 0.01), the pressure history curves showed more oscillations. The aim of simulating the model with a smaller time step size was for obtaining a smoother curve, in place of that, it was obtained a curve with more oscillations.
I am attaching all results (pressure history for three points, which are indicated in the Fig.2,3 and 4)

Kind Regards,

Hugo Ninanya

It's difficult to give recommendations without knowing the details of the model. I suggest to contact the FEFLOW Support: https://www.mikepoweredbydhi.com/support
