Hi FEFOW forum,

In white paper 1, chapter 1.6.1, the predictor-corrector scheme is (partly) described as follows "It monitors the solution process via a local time truncation error estimation in which the time step size is cheaply and automatically varied in accordance with temporal accuracy requirements."

Does the temporal accuracy requirements mentioned here include the limitation on the Courant number (< 1)?

Thank you in advance :)

No, the time stepping procedure does not directly consider the Courant number as a criterion. The only criterion is the error tolerance defined in 'temporal & control data'.
