Hello, I would like to know if it's possible disable plots in FEFLOW to speed up simulations?
Is it possible to disable the refreshing of velocities/directions plot, keeping only the refreshing of heads and concentrations plots?
Is it worth, in order to have faster simulations?
Thank you,

You can disable the velocity plot by turning velocity vectors off in the legend editor. Refreshing of heads can be limited to certain timesteps using the settings in 'Control output'. In models where the calcultation is fast, but the drawing slow (many elements, relatively simple conditions) this can save a considerable amount of time. In FEFLOW 5.4, a completely graphic-less batch mode is available, too (executable feflow54c.exe).

Peter can you please indicate maybe by short explanation the steps to follow to run Feflow in the completely graphic-less batch mode? Can this be used to run a single simulation faster?

There's a detailed description of the batch mode in the FEFLOW help system: Open help, go to 'Top' level, and hit the 'Batch mode' button. From FEFLOW 5.4 on, there is a completely graphic-less executable. Using this graphic-less mode can save time, especially compared to a simulation where results of all the time steps are rendered. The advantages compared to a simulation including graphics, but without updating for all time steps are less significant when looking at one single model only. However, the startup time of the graphic-less executable is shorter, so this option has advantages when running large numbers of small and fast-running models, e.g., in parameter estimation or optimization.
