Hi,

I am using temperature time series as nodal boundary conditions in a transient thermal model. I entered the temperature in the time series assuming it was in Kelvin. It now turns out that my model assumes that the time series is in degree Celsius. I tried to change the unit, but it seems this cannot be done automatically. My questions therefore are:

1. Is overwriting the time series files (.pow) the only option to change the temperature unit?
2. Is it possible to import multiple times series in FEFLOW at the same time. I have 2000 nodes and want to overwrite all the time series files with units set in degree Celsius. Can I do this by importing 2000 time series .pow files at once, or do I need to import one file at a time. An option to import multiple files at once will be great as it will save a lot of time.

Thanks,

1. Yes, this is the only options. Time series in FEFLOW currently do not have a unit property, i.e., the internal unit is used which is °C for temperature.
2. You cannot import 2000 files at once, but you can import one pow file with 2000 time series at once. Please see the format description for pow in the help system for details about the syntax.

Thanks for the respond Mr. Peter, so my .pow file will contain 2000 time series, but will I be able to assign each of them to a specific node? I just want to make sure because it takes time and if it doesn’t work that way I will try something else.

Thanks a lot
