Unsaturated Flow - moisture content

I used Richard's equation to simulate the water table and soil moisture in the unsaturated zone. The model converges and runs well with the location of the water table. However, the moisture content below the water table doesn't seem to be good. I was expecting a saturation condition below the water table but FEFLOW shows much lower saturation. We just ignore the moisture content below the water table trusting only the pressure calculations or why FEFLOW provides lower moisture content below the water table?

Indeed strange. If p &gt;= 0, then S should be 1. Moisture content cannot be 1, since it is relative to the total porosity.<br> Also if I were you, I would verify whether this is not an effect on any of your visualization settings.
