Hi All,

I have a 3D model, including unconfined aquifer, confining layer, and unconfined aquifer. In the FEFLOW problem classifier, should I choose confined or unconfined?

Any help will be definitely appreciated!

You'd have to choose 'unconfined' and then make the corresponding settings for each of the slices. Please have a look at the FEFLOW help system for an explanation of the different settings.

Thanks a lot, Peter.

Two more questions:

1. If the hydrostratigraphic units in the 3D model include unconfined aquifer, confining layer, and confined aquifer, I would also have to choose "unconfined" and then make the corresponding settings for each of the slices, right?

2. If the hydrostratigraphic units in the 3D model include confining layer, confined aquifer, confining layer, and another confined aquifer, and I want to include the first confining layer in the 3D model, do I have to choose "unconfined" or "confined"?

I appreciate your help.
