Hi,

I got a problem in assigning power functions to material properties (I use Feflow5.209).

The final objective is to use transient material properties to simulate the progressive backfilling of mining stope in an underground mine as it's being dewatered. Until now I am working on a very basic model of 4 layers to assess my approach before making the real one.

Here is the issue:

I select my layer 2 where the upper stope is located and apply the respective power function to the material properties.

Then I try to do the same to the lower stope, in the layer 3 below, but with a different set of power functions.
I make sure that the appropriate layer is selected and go through the same steps for assigning a database but I receive the following message: “Time-dependent data for the current material already exist. Select: NO CHANGES Take existent timelevels of the material. OVERWRITE: Take timelevels from regionalized power functions. MERGE: Mix existent and regionalized timelevels.”

I tried independently MERGE and OVERWRITE .
At the end, the same result is the same: when I use the Mesh Inspector or the T-List function, it indicates no difference between layer 2 and layer 3; furthermore, the PowIds seem to be applied to all layers, even 1 and 4.

Any idea what goes wrong ?
How should I proceed to make it work?

Thanks,
Greg
