This article is intended for Entitlement Administrators whose existing network entitlement has recently been updated due to:
An extended SMA (Software Maintenance Agreement) validity period
An extended entitlement expiry date
Changes to products or features
Changes to seat quantities
An entitlement that has been moved to a network server is not updated automatically when these changes occur. Similar to re-importing an updated license file under the previous dongle-based licensing system, the Entitlement Administrator must create a new import string and import it into the existing network license server.
Note: Only the Entitlement Administrator can access Update Server from the Action menu in the DHI Entitlement Portal. This action is not applicable for an Internet Entitlement.
Instructions:
Before you begin: Ensure that you have access to the computer running DHI License Server 2026, or assistance from your IT administrator.
Sign in to the DHI Entitlement Portal.
Go to ‘Network Servers’.
Locate the relevant network server.
Open the Action menu and select Update Server. See Fig. 1.
Fig. 1: In the DHI Entitlement Portal, go to Network Servers, locate the relevant server, open the Action menu, and select Update Server.
Select Create Import String then Copy Import String. See Fig. 2.
Fig. 2 : Select Create Import String, and then select Copy Import String.
Now open DHI License Management 2026 on the computer running DHI License Server 2026.
Import the new string into the existing network license server.
Reopen DHI License Management 2026 and confirm that the updated entitlement information is displayed.
Launch the relevant MIKE software and confirm that the required license is available.
